Without a doubt, the highlight of my career so far. I am so proud and honored to have been included in the Chicago Bulls artist hat series ‘21-’22 season. My hat was released at the Bulls v Raptors game on March 21 and given out to the first 5,000 fans at the game.

My inspiration for this hat design was the Bulls Windy City alternate logo from the 70s, so I wanted to do a take on that and bring in some baby blue to give it that extra little drip drop of Chicago love. My work is bold and bright with themes of representation and inclusivity, so I wanted this to be a hat that could fit into anyone's closet.

In an era of such turmoil and uncertainty, the work and philosophy of a personal hero, Frida Kahlo, have meant a lot to me and inspired me to celebrate her with this portrait. I drew Frida in brilliant colors, sitting on a throne of leaves and in keeping with the “everything flies” theme and the animal motif she so often used in her own work, two birds sit with her.

I was thrilled to work with the Chicago Bears and All Star Press to illustrate the first four game day posters in the Official Bears Poster Series for the 2021-2022 season.

Leading up to the 2020 Presidential Election, I was hired by the Biden 2020 campaign to work with an agency called Los York to create seven illustrations that would be produced into 75-second campaign video under the creative direction of Marc Smith. I am extremely honored to have worked directly for the campaign and hope to do more politically-aligned work in the future.

I did this illustration for the front page of the LA Times sports section on March 14, 2022. The illustration accompanied an article about UCLA and USC’s chances in the March Madness tournament leading up to the Final Four in New Orleans.

I did this portrait of Joe Biden preceding the 2020 Presidential Election. I was hired along with three other artists by a grassroots organization called The Last Draw who was doing excellent work to get out the vote and drum up support for the Biden/Harris ticket.

A couple notes about this piece from the time I created it: “Joe Biden is often depicted with his big, pearly grin, but I wanted to capture a more serious interpretation of his likeness. Especially after hearing his DNC speech last night, I believe that he understands the severity of this election and I wanted to echo the thoughtful tone he took. I also feel like there’s so much “if you’re anti-Trump, you’re anti-American” rhetoric laced into the Trump campaign, so I wanted to put Biden in the center of a really bright, celebratory, Americana palette. I chose to adorn his portrait with red anemone flowers because they grow natively in the US, particularly in the Midwest where I’m from, and they are known as the “wind flower” which is *I hope* a symbol of the changes to come.”

I am honored to have been hired by Sephora to create this piece in celebration of Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May 2021.

In the 1940s, my grandfather immigrated to the US from northeastern India (present day Bangladesh). I proudly identify as South Asian American, specifically, Bengali-American.

Asia is our Earth’s largest and most populous continent, did you know!! With more than 40 countries, 2,300+ languages, and 4.6 billion humies, there’s no way I could fit everything into one illustration, but it’s so special for me to pay small tribute to the HUGE variety of Asian and Pacific Islander cultures!

In March 2021, it was my honor to partner with the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund, a United Nations and Civil Society Partnership, to illustrate four promotional posters for the 1,000 Women Leaders campaign and its mission of supporting 1,000 women leaders in 1,000 crisis-affected communities around the world.

Released on International Women’s Day in conjunction with a 1,000 Women Leaders virtual event hosted by Whoopi Goldberg and Kristen Bell, these illustrations became available as shareable and downloadable posters.

The four women leaders featured are: Razia Sultana, Maria Ximena Fegueroa, Lea Babite Inyobondaye, and Rania Al-Hayyouk

I planted sunflowers in my yard like 2 weeks ago and I’ve been checking on them everyday, but so far, nothing. But sometimes flowers just need extra time to grow, and they can have it!

Challenge prompt 2 of #monthofmasters was to recreate a piece by Austrian Art Nouveau arteest, Gustav Klimt. This is my take on one of his final paintings, “Lady with Fan.” Swipe to see the original. Look at his colors!! Klimt, you wild boy!! I’ll give you an A+ for painting... but a harsh C- for creative naming on this one. All those details took me forever, but it was a really fun piece to interpret.

I was extremely honored to partner with Nina Simone’s record label, Verve Records, to create this piece inspired by Nina’s “Color is a Beautiful Thing,” an outright banger and such a joyful song. Nina was truly an icon. She was stunning, powerful, brilliant, inspiring—and when I listen to her music, I feel transported. I hope I did her justice in capturing the joy of the song with this piece.

I was thrilled to be hired by Pandora Jewelry to illustrate this piece for the 2020 holidays. This print was available for purchase from Pandora with all proceeds going to Children’s Institute and its mission of transforming the lives of children exposed to adversity and poverty in Los Angeles through early education, behavioral health, and family strengthening services. As the “adult child” of two teachers, myself, this campaign hit close to home and I am very grateful for the opportunity to show a bit of appreciation for educators and those who work with children whose dedication and ingenuity has been absolutely critical during the COVID19 pandemic.

A couple of notes about this piece: My dad, a teacher of 35 years, taught me that one’s character is revealed most when it is tested by adversity. As 2020 and 2021 have demonstrated, in life, we all must undertake challenges. For me, love and unity (the themes of Pandora’s Timeless Collection)—particularly during the pandemic—have meant leaning on the strength, inspiration, and guidance of others to navigate and overcome adversity. This print features three fearless women in a composition of unity with the earth and stars. It represents the idea of finding strength and encouragement in each other. The blooming flowers that surround them represent the idea that the events of our lives will in part be shaped by us; some cannot be, but our lives will unfold regardless. Let us go on together and live courageously in the moment.

This illustration was my interpretation of Prompt 4 of #monthofmasters challenge on Instagram. The prompt was to recreate a piece by Czech Art Nouveau painter and illustrator, Alphonse Mucha. This is based on “Ruby,” a piece from his precious stones series done in 1899. Mucha is well-known for his super decorative details and he did a ton of theater posters and ads and I took a lot of liberties with this one, but I hope you can still get the mood!

My “Home is Here” illustration was done in partnership with Emerson Collective to commemorate the Supreme Court decision to uphold DACA—a massive victory for the nearly 700,000 Dreamers—200,000 of whom are essential workers—and the communities that they support.

I drew this to represent how much I love and care about our forests and animal populations. But it’s a metaphor so please don’t approach or pick up a wild animal even if it’s just the cutest lil bebe.

These are the portraits I drew for the #SixFanArts challenge on Instagram.

1. Eric Effiong from Sex Education- I love this character so much. He’s queer, he’s black, he comes from a religious Ghanaian-Nigerian family, he’s sensitive and supportive and complex!! He’s beautiful. On any other show, he could have easily been a tropey sidekick, but thank goodness Sex Education made him a driving force of the story because I think it’s at its best when told through his eyes.

2. Fleabag (specifically season 2), you are a perfect show & i love you til i die. Everyone else, DM me if you want to talk about what the fox is. Or if you have suggestions for my next 5 characters.

3. Ygritte from Game of Thrones. She’s brave, she’s wild, she’s funny, she got shot up full of ARROWS! And most of all, her relationship with Jon was entirely consensual and not at all incestuous and I support that.

4. NoHo Hank from Barry! The king of Suck Balls Mountain, he’s the most earnest and polite and optimistic mobster who just wants to go 50/50 with Cristobal. IMO, Barry is another perfect show and I love NoHo Hank barry much.

5. Denise from Master of None played by the brilliant Lena Waithe. I read that Denise was originally written as a straight white woman and then the show creators met Lena and were like, OPE, immediate rewrite!! And thank goodness they did because she’s dope as hell. A queer woman of color playing a queer woman of color is so so so important and authentic and it’s another show where the best episodes aren’t about the main character. This is my favorite hat she wore on the show, but it was very hard to choose one.

6. Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate as Janet Snakehole!! I always liked April and felt we were kindred spirits. And I’m really excited for a new @nbcparksandrec episode. That’s it! I did it. I want to do it again with movie characters and maybe I will!!

This is my piece for day 1 of the #monthofmasters challenge on Instagram. The prompt was to recreate a piece by XVIII French painter, Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun. This is my take on her Bacchante piece, swipe to see the original. I chose to recreating this particular piece because her pose is so playful and the dark/light contrast. I took many creative liberties to bring her into my style!

I love a good passion project.

This is a brand identity and narrative for a client’s new endeavor: Human Identity Project. The purpose of the effort is to create merchandise that signifies and celebrates what we all have in common: our shared humanity.

After interviewing the client extensively about his mission and vision for the project, I designed an identity system and wrote a long-form brand narrative to serve as a basis for launching and promoting the merchandise.

I illustrated this poster as a memory montage to commemorate my first year living in Chicago.

This was the winning logo design for an organic product company based out of California.
